Vegas Baby! Crosschq Headed Back to In-Person Events at HR Transform

HRT LinkedIn Post

On March 14 - 16, the Crosschq team, along with around 1500 other people made up from the hottest HR Tech start-ups, high-level HR and talent acquisition executives, and VCs, made their way to the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas to attend HR Transform. It was the first in-person conference in two years due to COVID for many, and boy, did it feel great to get back!

After endless Zooms, Google Meets, Webinars, Virtual Events, and more, I was downright giddy to see so many humans in one place again! And this year’s HRT comeback, did not disappoint! The energy felt both electric and contagious throughout both days.

On Monday, with a lot of team bonding, and some help from our new crew friends at the Cosmo, little by little our empty 10x10 space came together to become our magnificent Crosschq booth that glowed strong and bright in the center of the Expo Hall. Situated next door to Town Square we were hard to miss!

Later in the evening, HRT hosted a kick-off party by the pool to encourage networking before the main event started the next morning, and we later headed to Beauty and Essex to host a fun evening of food, drinks, and conversation.

At the show, it was exciting to meet so many new people and hear about their major painpoints to recruit and retain talent and then introduce all the ways Crosschq‘s Talent Intelligence Cloud™ can easily help in terms of sourcing, screening, onboarding, measuring, and retaining top talent.

It was also great and a little surreal to meet partners and clients, that I only knew from the shoulders up on a screen for the past year, including one of our newest team members, Head of Strategic Alliances, Ari Goodstein.

One of the main highlights for Crosschq came on Tuesday afternoon. Our CEO, Mike Fitzsimmons, took the stage with fellow HRT tech start up Talent Wall’s CSO Jo Avent and our two of our customers, Pete Lawson, Head of TA, from GoPuff and Kerry Karle, VP of TA, from DISH Network. The panel’s discussion was, “Recruiting Analytics & Quality of Hire Deconstructed - Using Data to Build Diverse Winning Teams”. Each panelist gave examples of how they have in the past measured Quality of Hire, what they are currently doing to measure it, and who owns this metric within the company. Kerry gave examples of how Crosschq is helping redefine DISH’s definition of quality of hire as well as helping recruit and retain top talent effectively and efficiently for their organization. If you were unable to attend, our Crosschq specialists are happy to walk you through how Crosschq can help you too.

One thing to come out of COVID was the increase in the amount puppies people bought–I actually got two! Featuring so many Mental Health & Wellness platforms and panels at HRT, puppies were a nice addition to the conference. It allowed attendees to be able to take a quick break, calm down, and melt into these sweet puppies. The Puppy Lounge scored major points with the attendees!

On Tuesday night, we headed to Nobu with some of our partners and HRT friends.

Before we knew it, the conference was already over and we were back to square one–breaking down our booth. Until next year…
