Why we're convening

Candidate fraud is evolving quickly — from resume and reference manipulation to identity concerns, proxy interviewing, AI-assisted deception, and increasingly sophisticated attempts to bypass traditional hiring controls.

Talent Acquisition is often the first line of defense, while Security, HR Operations, Legal, Compliance, background verification, identity, and talent technology teams all play important roles in protecting the integrity of the hiring process.

The Candidate Fraud Defense Summit is designed to bring these perspectives together in a focused, private setting. Over three days in Napa, participants will compare what they're seeing, identify where current processes are breaking down, and workshop what the next generation of candidate fraud prevention should look like.

What we'll discuss

Topics participants will explore

Emerging fraud patterns across the hiring lifecycle
The role of Talent Acquisition as the first line of defense
How recruiting and security teams should collaborate when fraud is suspected
Identity, background, reference, and interview verification gaps
The signals needed to detect fraud earlier and with greater confidence
Balancing prevention, candidate experience, fairness, and speed
The role of ecosystem partners in building a more connected solution
Future-state models for secure, trusted hiring

A private working-group format

This is not a conference, webinar, or broad industry event. Attendance is intentionally limited to support candid discussion, practical problem-solving, and meaningful peer exchange.
