Google is implementing additional Workday products to support its global workforce, including Workday Adaptive Planning, Prism Analytics and Strategic Sourcing. The internet giant will also expand its current use of Workday HCM to deliver improved employee experiences and recruiting to support its global workforce.
Gem closed $100 million in Series C funding, providing the company with a $1.2 billion valuation, according to media reports. The round was led by ICONIQ and included existing investors Greylock and Accel, as well as new investors Sapphire Ventures and Meritech Capital. The round brings Gem’s total funding to $148 million. Heidrick & Struggles partnered with Eightfold AI to develop a digital platform offering organizations a new way to understand, assess and make decisions about leadership talent. The project is part of Heidrick & Struggles’ strategic efforts to increase market penetration and expand its suite of leadership capabilities and solutions.
JobAdder released a new integration with LinkedIn Recruiter System Connect designed to improve hiring workflows, time to hire and candidate experience. The integration lets JobAdder users connect with LinkedIn Recruiter to access candidate information when it’s needed, without switching platforms. Recruiters can also find candidates quickly, know instantly which candidates from LinkedIn are already in their JobAdder account, see all InMail messages from both platforms in one place and cross-reference data from both sources.
Viventium, an SaaS-based HCM solution focused on the health services sector, will join forces with DailyPay to offer more of its clients’ employees access to, and control over, their earned pay. The white-label solution will offer a seamless experience that leverages DailyPay’s technology, which was previously available only to larger clients.
Sense launched its platform’s AI Chatbot. The chatbot offers a seamless integration that sources and screens more candidates faster while still providing personalized candidate-focused experiences. As part of the Sense suite, the chatbot pairs conversational AI with automated communication and engagement workflows and two-way texts.
Workplace analytics platform Syndio raised $50 million in Series C funding. Emerson Collective and Bessemer Venture Partners led the round, with additional investments from Voyager Capital. In total, Syndio has raised $83 million to date.
Crosschq announced an extension to its Series A financing, with an additional $16.5 million bringing the round’s total to $30 million. The company will use the capital for product development, expanding its engineering team and continuing to grow sales, marketing and customer success staff.

Oyster received investments from PayPal Ventures and HR Tech Investments, an affiliate of Indeed. The company also launched Oyster for Impact, a program designed to help mission-driven companies build distributed teams and have a positive impact. Oyster for Impact is open to certified nonprofits and benefit corporations around the world.
HR technology firm Diversely, which launched its D&I platform earlier this year, closed a $550,000 pre-seed round of financing. Diversely aims to provide scalable tools to understand, track, measure and improve the diversity of employer pipelines starting at the sourcing stage. Diversely’s research shows that only 5% of companies are currently able to measure the progress of their pipelines.
